The exact cause as to how it happens, the medical science still does not know. It has been learnt from the studies that the fusion of genetic, immunologic and environmental factors is found involved in many of the cases of vitiligo. It means that there are people who are pre-disposed to get the disease on the revelation to the right trigger. It is also witnessed that many of the patients report the loss of the pigment soon after severe sunburn whereas the others associate this disease’s happening due to the emotional trauma come from the accident or death in the family, etc.
